1 box of scrap paper
1 Fiskars wave punch
and some Tivo'd TV
=
a nice little night of scrap booking
The day history stopped
(in case we should mark it down for posterity)
was 2 days ago.
I lost the kids' history book.
Like..really, could not find it.
The kids like history...
however
they were a bit gleeful at not having to do history
so much so....
that interrogation started.
Have you seen the book?
Did you move the book?
They seemed pretty sincere on not knowing where it was....
which made me think
either I was loosing my mind
or
they were very crafty.
As I looked under sofas
and other places that it really could not be
I thought
"this wouldn't happen to a real teacher."
(Which is just an inside joke with...um, myself
because I am a real teacher.
A home school one and a certified one.
That's like 2 teachers.
And I have the Barnes and Noble educator card to prove it.)
As it turns out
my kids are crafty...but the good kind
like with paper and scissors
and my mind
not
too
good
because we found the history book today
in a rather obvious stack of other books.
Right where I put it.
So History is back on now.
But the past 2 days have been a free ride...
I think that means those calories, taxes and undone todo lists shouldn't count.
