halloween pictures for the grandparents

so yes
lots of photos ahead
i never thought of taking pictures of the kids
in their costumes
not on halloween
why had i not thought of that?
it was waaaay easier today than right before trick or treating
no mean mommy telling the kids to stand still
no whiney kids
it was magical, really....

1. it seems like the beach was months ago instead of weeks...

2. i have switched my addiction from dr. pepper to V-8

3. i over committed for the past 2 months and i am so ready for november and some normal

4. alex is still in the process of testing for dyslexia / reading issues

5. the kiddos are loving mad libs
and it is a nice practice on the parts of speech

6. my house is almost clean
but i haven't put away laundry in forever

7. having fun decorating for halloween

8. i finally saw some of martha stewart's scrapbooking supplies today
and her halloween items

bad birthday pictures

next to Christmas morning
my birthday pics are the worst
either in a poorly lit jumpie-warehouse-facilityish place
or in the bright bright sun of the afternoon outside

but i'm ok with that

my new stratagy is to make those pics smaller
crop the daylights out of them
(sounds easier than just becoming a better photographer....)

i did this one for the mid month garden
but then used a diff one last minute to feature the BG chipboard embellishements

i painted these circles

put diamond glaze over them
