1. We spent the evening flying 15 different paper airplanes for David's science project. (Rachel...we'll save the worms for another year:)
2. I eat my food in order of "what would be grossest cold" first. And the food can only touch on the holidays...when it is holiday food.
3. I told someone the other day I was going to turn 38 next month. I meant it. I realized later I will be 35. How does someone forget something like that? Answer: easily if that someone is me.
4. The magazines with articles that catch my eye in the grocery check out the most are: More and Prevention. So can I join AARP now or do I need to wait?
5. Yesterday the right thigh of my jeans was tight. Only the right thigh. Stupid Cadberry Cream Eggs.
6. I love watching the director's (writer's, producer's) cut of a movie on a dvd. Emma Thompson's cut of Sense and Sensability and Nanny McPhee are some of my faves.
7. I worked in our school library before school in 5th and 6th grade. Shelving books turned me into a huge reader. Lady Jane Grey 's biography was the first historical book I ever read. Now, 24....or 27..., years later, I love love reading biographies and historical fiction.

Thanks you guys over at Mojo Holder for picking me to lift this week!
Alex brought this home from his homeschool group a few months back.
I'm not sure why....but it totally cracks me up.
1. Rat is infested with bacteria.
2. Flea bites rat and gets bacteria.
3. Flea's digestive system is gorged with bacteria.
4. Flea bites humans.
5. Humans become sick and die.
Is it that is in a spin wheel format that makes this funny to me?
The choice for the 3 crosses makes it a teeny bit wierd....but still.

Me: Uh, they look orange.
Him: Well, they are red.
Me: An reddish orange.

RED with a twist of orange! You have to say "twist" with that little accent that I'm sure your hubby does not have. You know the one? In fact, I am sure that at the risk of seeming to have that little accent, is the reason why he is opposing what color you are calling the pants. Tell him I said that even if his pants have a twist of orange, that doesn't mean he is the least bit feminine!
Oh my...at first I thought just plain 'ol red but then in the next picture they looked a tad bit like coral or almost a weird sort of pink, but I thought 'why would she let her hubby wear pink snow pants in public?' my answer which made no sense at all was 'maybe he got a big rip when he toppled down the hill and had to put on his wife's!' I am laughing at the visual...so I would have to say the color would be Eddie Bauer persimmon...kind of red, orange and pink all in one!
I'm thinking any man brave enough to wear those pants has got to think they are SUPERMAN RED! Or maybe flying down the mountain in FLASH GORDON RED pants. Fast as FLASH!

David is very literal.

If you want to do this it is super easy.

We have been in CO
for the past 8 days
and it was amazing!
The kiddos loooved it!
JD - skis
David - skis
Alex - snow board
Max - skis
Me - camera
Hence the CO albums posted for the Grandparents on the right.
My boys grew up a lot on this trip.
Not in real life...but in my head.
I still think of them as little.
I had to drag Max away from ski school each day.
"I'm very good at skiing" is what he said
before he ever went.
David loved skiing with JD
(ski school...not so much)
I could hardly believe how much he liked it.
Sensory stuffs + skiing...I had kinda prepared myself for him not to like it.
Alex had fun and fell a LOT on the snow board.
He did ski school 2 days and then just skied with JD.
I was really proud of him for his tenacity.
Alex took a lot of the pictures in CO4.
They were all taken with his camera.

Stamp: by Scenic Route
I have all the Autumn Leaves stamps
They are awesome
A stamp has to be pretty special to catch my eye

Ok, the difference between my husband and me
A few days ago I woke up to a thunderstorm and the power going out.
I jump up and run to unplug my computer with all the photos on it.
Power comes back on.
I turn on the tv and see it for 30 seconds
to see a storm front going right over us.
There were spirals all over the map for circular winds
like 15 of them over my town.
I run down to Abbie's room to tell her I am taking the kiddos into the basement.
Power goes out again.
I crawl
creep
and cling to the walls
blind
back to my room
to where we keep the emergency flashlight next to the bed.
It isn't there.
I notice there is light coming from the bathroom.
Dark outside.
Dark inside.
Starting to hail.
Light in the bathroom.
The husband is showering
during a storm
by flashlight light.
I'm all like
"What are you doing?"
Him
"Um, getting ready to go to work."
Me, the mother bear: gets her cubs in the basement.
Him, the pap bear: off to hunt and gather.
I need these stamps.
