I was scrolling through my contacts last week and made a humorous discovery: Darcy and Elizabeth.
I really do have a female friend named Darcy. The fact that alphabetically, she is listed next to my
friend Elizabeth makes me happy. And clearly, I can no longer accept phone numbers from friends
who will separate the two. So sorry Deborah, Dwyane, Ebeneezer and Edna.
Austen Authors has a nice tribute to Jane today. It is very worth checking out.
(And yes, I have my husband listed as HUSBAND in my phone in case of emergency where I am
incapacitated and someone needs to contact him on my behalf. Apparently, the same goes for a
HAIR emergency as well.)
