When I log onto my twitter account, it is like reading someone else's outgoing phone texts:
It isn't to me.
It has their own shorthand I don't understand.
There seem to be a lot of half conversations.
I follow a mix of all of my interests: Star Trek, Star Wars, Jane Austen, Period movies, Friends & Scrap booking & Politics.
It should be a happy soup of interesting sound bites.
But it isn't.
For me, at least.
1. I don't like vague comments. I mean, if you are going to take a moment to log onto FB or Twitter or a message board or write up a blog post, be specific. I want to laugh, cry, rejoice, have a moment, wish I were eating that, etc, with you. Not have figure out what you mean. (My, my - don't I sound grouchy?)
2. I don't want to hear 1/2 of a conversation. It is all the voyeurism with none of the fun of understanding.
3. Perhaps there is a better setting / way to read the twitter account than on my home page...and I am not clever enough to figure that out.
But for right now, I don't get it.
Feel free to tell me why Twitter is great. I have gotten my grouchy out and am willing to learn.
