I got a new calendar this week. That probably seems normal. But wait.
I got my first new calendar back in October. It was red (favorite color) and had the "Be Calm and Carry On" WWII British saying on the cover (which I like because I enjoy British history). It had the calendar by the month (which I need to see the whole month at one time). And lots of pages for taking notes (which I always imagine myself taking notes but then I just draw all over those pages).
And then this week I went and bought my second new calendar. Because I didn't like the way the other new one felt in my hand. The paper was cheaper quality. The cover wasn't slick. It, basically, wasn't like the kind I get every single year.
2007, 2008&9, 2010, 2014 are all the same type just different colors. (Trying not to freak out over my inability to put my hands on the 2011, 12 & 13 ones. I know they are just in a stack of scrap booking supplies. Somewhere. Deep breaths. In. Out.)
I thought I could change things up a bit. Be different. Who was I kidding? I am set in my ways and I like it. Not since I decided to move the silverware drawer from one side of the kitchen to the other have been so unsettled. (I got a gold one because I am so Shahs of Sunset golden these days.)
Naturally, I needed to copy over all my stuff from last October, November & December from the new red one into the new new gold one. And then I threw away the new red one.
And I feel much better, now.
Oh, and I keep my calendars as a reference for scrap booking dates. The oldest one I have is from the year I graduated from High School. Isn't it rad?
I have no idea why Math Club is on there. There is no way they would have let me in that.
